Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify access trends and recommend pull through tactics and solutions to any market access challenges.
  • Employ strong organizational and analytical skills to optimize access, including the ability to analyze complex data to develop strategic and actionable business plans.
  • Build a diverse team of talented field market access professionals through targeted recruitment, selection and assessment strategies and execution. 
  • Lead and maintain a culture of compliance, integrity and transparency.
  • Lead and coach a team to set, evaluate and exceed performance expectations. 
  • Cultivate relationships within sales management, market access operations (HUB), internal partners and customers. 
  • Ensure that team is equipped to address field market access requests, customer issues and challenges with a sense of urgency and accountability

 

Requirements
    • 10+ years of management level experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device. 
    • Proven successful track record of consistent management of high performance teams. 
    • In depth knowledge of public and commercial health plans including reimbursement methodology, coding, medical and pharmacy benefit design and the health plan policy decision-making process.
    • Understanding of healthcare provider site of care operational dynamics, systems and the buying processes for pharmaceutical products.
    • Experience providing education to health care providers and office staff customers.
    • Ability to analyze information from several data sources (e.g., service team, sales feedback, claims data) and use it to identify regional trends and sales team objectives.
